*Note that on the side the mug is signed by artist William H. Shelton, who painted it. Shelton was a friend of Col. Henry Dorr,
owner of the Childwold Park Hotel, and had been a prisoner with him during the Civil War. Shelton often stayed with Dorr in the summer.
