ABOUT US Massawepie History

The Massawepie Staff Alumni Association was organized in 2000. Our mission is to provide "Spirit, Service, and Support" to the Massawepie Scout Camps. Any person who is at least 18 years of age and worked at Massawepie as a paid or volunteer staff member while camp was in session is eligible for membership. Membership includes 3 newsletters per year and notification of upcoming events. We have currently have 80+ paid members!

Annual dues: $10 ($20 for 2 years). To join, please send a check or money order (payable to Otetiana Council, Boy Scouts) to:

Write "Massawepie Staff Alumni dues" in the memo field of your check. Please complete and attach our Membership Application (pdf format). Special opportunity for 2008-09: a 1-year membership will be given free to any eligible person donating a total of $50 or more to the Massawepie Mountain Bike Program and/or the Massawepie "Square Foot" Equipment/Maintenance Endowment through the Alumni Association.

Membership is good through May 31 each year and may be renewed at Beaver Weekend or by mail. New memberships received after March 1 will be credited through May 31 of the following year.

The MSAA currently follows Rules of Operation last revised in 2006.


Massawepie is the Boy Scout summer camp for the Otetiana Council which serves youth in Monroe County (Rochester), New York.   The Massawepie Scout Camps are located on New York State Route 3 between Cranberry Lake and Tupper Lake in the Adirondack Mountains.
